About Me.
I'm Similoluwa Okunowo. I grew up fascinated by science and technology. This fascination led me to study Electronic and Electrical Engineering, where I developed a strong foundation in problem-solving and a deep appreciation for how things work.
In 2019, I discovered the world of programming, and I was immediately captivated by how a bunch of "1's and 0's" could be used to create the incredible technologies that shape our daily lives – from the Google search engine, to the POS devices we use for everyday transactions, and the tiny calculator on my phone – it's all a testament to the power of 1's and 0's.
This passion for programming has evolved into a core focus, alongside my continued interest in related areas like software development, artificial intelligence, big data, etc. I am passionate about building innovative solutions through research and development and effectively commmunicating complex technical concepts.
During my spare time, I enjoy listening to music and podcasts on Spotify, skimming through research papers and blog posts, digging deep into interesting reddit threads, writing, taking long walks, or sleeping. I also have a passion for teaching and exploring diverse research areas.
I am actively seeking entry-level career opportunities in the industry or academia that will allow me to learn and grow while contributing to meaningful projects and innovative solutions. I am also open to part-time gigs, volunteering opportunities, speaking engagements, and other professional collaborations.
